Sweetlove Vending

Labelling

I have been involved with the food industry for a long time and know the regulations regarding labelling. Regulations that changed late in 2014 to now require the inclusion of allergen information as well as ingredients to be shown on all product labelling. A lot of the vendors out there contain sweets in pots that are packed by the operator themselves which is slowly being outlawed for basic hygiene and safety reasons. When you use a Sweetlove Vending vendor the pots are hygenically filled and labelled with complete details including any allergens, ingredient warnings, dietary suitability and Best Before Date. Vendor labels also carry a brief summary of this too and all information on each product is available on this website.
As of November 2017 Local Authorities are beginning to enforce the new labelling legislation which means that even pre-packed sweets in pots have to carry a valid best before date clearly on the outside of the pot.
If you pack your own sweets and need help with this see the shop or get in touch as we can give you a hand with this.

What Do We Use?

For sweet vending I use plastic vending vendors that are 323 mm high and 204 mm in diameter at the top. They have nine tubes holding 81 tubs of confectionary, the top section rotates by hand by twisting. The bottom silver section holds the coin mechanism which accepts £1 coins in a tray inside protected by a locking mechanism. The products are loaded through the top by opening the locked plastic lid, this is removed by unlocking. The vendor bolts to a metal stand that is 606 mm high and the base 460 mm in diameter, it is painted black.

Together the whole unit stands 1.5 metres high, is stable and not easily knocked over. It is easy to make a transaction with the machine on the stand and they are easily visible, especially as labels must be attached to the top of the vendor to promote the charity or organisation.

At the top of the vendor we place product stickers, nine in all detailing the content of the vendor and we update these labels as and when we change the content of the vendor according to the tastes of your customers.

I also have electronic and mechanical vending machines for snacks and savoury products which I supply. A lot of hosts begin with a sweet vendor and expand into other machines particularly if they offer accommodation as these machines allow their guests access without disturbing staff at any time.

What is the best way of Vending?

By placing the machine in a visible area at your site, an area that has the most traffic is good. You can print details of the charity you support by downloading details, or a logo, from their website and attach it to the upper section of the vendor.

Our system is very flexible, allowing you to donate the commission to any chosen charity, your own organisation or even to keep for yourself.

At every refill you will be given the commission earned that period, along with an invoice for you to sign.

Where Do You Get Products From?

I purchase from the main manufacturers through brokers, I also have a lot of stock packed for me, I import American Candy from the U.S.A. Turkey and other countries. This allows more types of products including traditional and unusual exclusive sweets and ensures that the pots give value for money, the range is always changing and the vendor can be maximised to assure the revenue you make by optimising it to contain your best sellers.

Where Do I Put the Machine?

Our sweet vendors are easily sited requiring only one square foot of space and are a good method of fundraising, they are mechanical so no electricity required and secure so you know that when a customer takes a tub of sweets they have paid the money unlike honesty boxes.

What Do I Get?

You will receive a commission each time we refill to donate to your chosen charity, organisation or keep for yourself. It's a fool proof, easy and exciting way to raise funds effortlessly. You just agree to keep the vendor clean and safe, everything else is taken care of from install to refill and with a fantastic range as well as fuller pots of sweets, greater variety and choice!
